From April 24 to 26, 2025, Astana hosted the International Conference "HTA 2025.KZ", dedicated to the development and implementation of the health technology assessment (HTA) system as a tool for strategic planning and rational allocation of resources in the healthcare sector.
HTACONFERENCE.kz became a key platform for dialogue between representatives of government agencies, international organizations, the expert community and businesses. Participants discussed the prospects for integrating modern HTA approaches into the national healthcare systems of Central Asian countries. Health technology assessment is a complex interdisciplinary process aimed at determining the effectiveness, safety and economic feasibility of medical technologies at all stages of their life cycle. This approach allows for informed decision-making that ensures sustainability and high quality of medical care. During the conference, specialists working in the field of healthcare, organization of medical care, drug provision, regulation of circulation of medical products and drugs discussed current challenges in the industry, presented practical cases and developed recommendations for further development of the health and safety management system in the region.
