In the period from May 27 to May 30, leading medical agents from the People's Republic of China had a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of medical tourism and exchange experiences on an introductory tour organized by the Akimat of Astana city represented by the Department for Investment and Business Development, in order to promote medical tourism and demonstrate technical equipment in a number of leading clinics of the capital.
The main objective of the tour was to draw attention to the tourist potential of the city in the context of medical services. The participants visited several JCI-accredited clinics, such as the Hospital of the Medical Center of the Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Center for Pediatric Rehabilitation, the National Center for Neurosurgery, the UMC Corporate Foundation, namely the Center for Motherhood and Childhood and the National Scientific Cardiac Surgery Center, where they had the opportunity to assess the level of equipment and service standards that meet international quality standards. It is worth noting that the guests also visited a number of large private clinics, for example, the Doctor Dent dental clinic network, the Health Club Grand Prix wellness center, the Green Clinic medical center, as well as the UMIT International Tomotherapy Oncology Center, the only one among private clinics that has received the JCI international quality standard certificate.
Each clinic gave the tour participants a detailed tour of their medical facilities, as well as the opportunity to see advanced technologies and treatment methods in practice. This allowed medical agents not only to better understand the technical capabilities of local clinics, but also to assess the potential of Astana as a key player in the global field of medical tourism.
One of the key points of the infotour was the discussion of strategies for attracting foreign patients and the creation of unique medical packages adapted to the specifics of the Chinese market.
The foreign participants of the tour were impressed by the high level of technical equipment of local clinics, as well as surprised by the availability of medical services at relatively low prices. This combination of high-quality equipment and accessibility of services makes medical tourism in the capital of Kazakhstan especially attractive for foreign patients.

A pleasant bonus for the tour participants was the presence of not only English-speaking, but also Chinese-speaking staff in each of the clinics visited. This greatly facilitated communication and increased the comfort of foreign guests, creating a trusting atmosphere and confidence in the choice of medical services in Astana.
These factors underline the importance of developing medical tourism in the region and the willingness of local clinics to attract and serve international patients with a high level of professionalism and care for the quality of services provided.
In addition, the organizers of the tour focused on the cultural and tourist attractions of the capital, offering participants a special opportunity to get acquainted with the rich history and traditions of the Kazakh people, which makes medical tourism in Astana even more attractive for foreign patients.
Conducting an introductory tour for medical agents of the People's Republic of China provided an opportunity to share experiences and establish business contacts with representatives of the medical sector of the capital. This exchange of knowledge and practices contributes to the development of cooperation between medical institutions in China and Astana, which in turn contributes to improving the quality of medical services provided and expanding opportunities for patients from both sides.
