In Kazakhstan, the standard for helping children with cancer and hematological diseases was first approved
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan has developed and approved the first standard for organizing cancer and hematological assistance to children. The document approved by order of the Minister of Health is aimed at improving the quality of the diagnosis and treatment of children with cancer and hematological diseases at all levels of medical care - from primary to specialized.

Today, in Kazakhstan, there are about 4,000 children in remission in remission of malignant neoplasms on the dispensary, and up to 600 new cases are detected annually.

Diseases of children's oncology and hematology require a special approach, as they differ from adult in their structure, outcomes and methods of treatment. The new standard for the first time combines all the requirements and recommendations into a single document in order to provide comprehensive and effective assistance to small patients.

The penalist provides for the use of advanced diagnostic methods, such as immunohystochemistry and immunophenotyping, as well as high -dosage chemotherapy, organ -preserving surgery and all types of transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells. This will allow you to quickly and more accurately detect diseases and conduct effective treatment.

For the first time, an obligatory multi -level approach has been introduced, in which the diagnosis and treatment of children will be carried out in multidisciplinary children's hospitals with the participation of a multidisciplinary team of specialists - oncologists, surgeons, resuscitators and other doctors. This will provide each child with comprehensive medical care.

The standard establishes clear requirements for the equipment of medical organizations where children undergo treatment, as well as the volume and terms of observation. The introduction of these requirements will help ensure the equally high level of treatment of treatment throughout the country. There are also measures to minimize the load on families, such as reducing the terms of stay in hospitals and the possibility of treatment closer to the house.
The implementation of the new standard will enhance and strengthen the achievements of domestic healthcare in the field of children's oncology and hematology.
