KAZAKHSTAN AND ARMENIA STEP UP COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF HEALTHCARE
Kazakh Minister of Health Akmaral Alnazarova met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia Armen Gevondyan to discuss promising areas of cooperation in the field of healthcare between the two countries.
The main outcome of the meeting was an agreement on the intensification of bilateral cooperation and the development of a Roadmap for 2025-2026.
The parties also discussed issues of improving the primary health care service (PHC), the introduction of IT technologies in healthcare, the provision of highly specialized medical care to Armenian citizens in Kazakhstan, as well as the exchange of experience in the field of cardiology, cardiac surgery, in vitro fertilization and neurosurgery.
Akmaral Alnazarova invited her Armenian colleagues to join the Coalition of Countries on PHC, as well as to visit medical scientific and educational organizations in Kazakhstan.
Armen Gevondyan, in turn, spoke about the healthcare system in Armenia and expressed readiness for mutually beneficial cooperation.
