Neurosurgeons at the Federal Medical Center removed an apple-sized brain tumor for a woman
Doctors of the National Center of Neurosurgery in Astana saved a woman from the Kostanay region from disability. An apple-sized tumor was found in the woman's head.
The patient sought advice from the National Center of Neurosurgery in Astana. The woman complained of weakness in her left limbs and decreased motor activity, as well as seizures.
Doctors revealed neurological disorders in the patient, after which they performed an MRI diagnosis of the brain, which showed the presence of a giant neoplasm with a diameter of 10*9,5*10 See An increase in education could lead to disability.
Neurosurgeon Muratbek Tleubergenov noted that: "Despite the complexity of the operation, our team completely removed the tumor from vital centers, blood vessels of the brain and from healthy brain tissue. A neuronavigation system was used in the operation, as well as fluorescent diagnostics. This allowed us to operate efficiently, safely and efficiently, even in difficult anatomical conditions."
As the patient notes, the condition improved after the operation, neurology regressed – strength appeared in the lower extremities, general well-being improved.
The operation was performed by a team of the best specialists of the National Center of Neurosurgery of Astana, namely: Muratbek Tleubergenov, neurosurgeon of the Department of Neurosurgery of Brain Pathology, Arman Makarov, anesthesiologist-intensive care specialist Raushan Tokshekenova, anesthesiologist Zhanar Arinova, operating nurse Asem Kadyrkhanova.
