The international healthcare conference HTA 2024.KZ was held in Astana.

On 19-20 April 2024, Astana hosted the International Conference ‘HTA 2024.KZ’ on Health Technology Assessment as a tool for determining priorities for the development and financing of health care.

HTACONFERENCE.kz is the leading space for sharing experience and knowledge, leading expert discussions and generating recommendations on health technology assessment (HTA) in the Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) region.

The primary goal is to improve regional health systems by effectively implementing best practices in decision-making and resource allocation.

The event is organised by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kazakhstan Association of Health Technology Assessment, Evidence-based Medicine, and Pharmacoeconomic Research ‘KazSPOR’, with the support of HTAi - the international community of experts in the field of health technology assessment.

Within the framework of the conference programme, specialists working in the field of decision-making in healthcare, organisation of medical care, drug provision, evaluation of healthcare technologies, access to the market of medicines and medical devices, had an opportunity for professional communication, exchange of accumulated experience and advanced ideas.

200 specialists from more than 15 countries participated.

The scientific programme of the conference covered all key issues of health technology assessment, using its results for decision-making and shaping health and drug policy.

Plenary and panel sessions, satellite educational symposia and an exhibition with the participation of leading manufacturers of pharmaceuticals and medical devices were held.
