Astana Strengthens Its Position in the Field of Medical Tourism On July 23, 2025, the National Scientific Oncological Center hosted a meeting between representatives of the medical community and the Astana Tourism Development Center, dedicated to the prospects for developing medical tourism in the capital. During the meeting, specific support measures for the development of medical tourism were discussed, including assistance in creating comprehensive tour packages, collaboration with tour operators, promotion of medical services through advertising, and the formation of joint check-up products. According to information provided by medical institutions, around 4,500 foreign patients were recorded in Astana last year, indicating a growing interest in the capital’s medical services. The main influx of patients comes from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia. The most in-demand areas include cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, oncology, dentistry, plastic surgery, reproductive medicine, and IVF. An important factor contributing to the trust of foreign patients is the presence of seven clinics in the capital accredited under the international standard JCI (Joint Commission International).
