400 thousand new cases of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) are detected annually in the world.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, more than 1,500 cases of kidney cancer are detected in Kazakhstan annually. At the same time, more than 350 people die from kidney cancer.
In addition to kidney cancer, there is a tumor that arises from the epithelium of the urinary tract. Kidney sarcoma is more rare. It occurs in about 1-2 percent of oncourological patients.
On June 22, 2024, an open Day dedicated to the prevention and early detection of precancerous diseases and early forms of kidney and urinary tract cancer will be held as part of World Kidney Cancer Day.
