The VII National Congress of Hepatologists/Gastroenterologists of Kazakhstan "Gastro Hepato Transplant News 2024" has completed its work. This major large-scale event has become a unique platform for discussion and exchange of experience in applied scientific research and clinical activities, bringing together representatives of the international medical community - scientists, doctors, health managers.
The program of the Congress was quite rich both in terms of the composition of participants and the content of speeches. The speakers' reports presented scientific research and clinical experience on the most important problems in hepatology and gastroenterology. In particular, Professor A. The audience was interested in the report of Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Professor E. An important part of the Congress program was the demonstration of theoretical and practical master classes on precancerous and tumor formations of the liver using high-tech treatment methods.
The key event during the Congress was the conclusion of a memorandum of cooperation with the Heidelberg University Clinic (Germany). Consolidating the mutual efforts of both clinics to train highly qualified specialists in the oncogepathological service is only a small part of a large–scale joint project.
The partnership provides for the possibility of providing advisory and expert support to NNOC doctors and conducting joint consultations on complex clinical cases. Opportunities will open up for young resident doctors of the NNOC to participate in educational programs and gain clinical experience at the Heidelberg University Clinic. Such fruitful cooperation is difficult to overestimate, given the tasks assigned to the Center for Oncogepathology and Gastroenterology, since it, as the national coordinator of the hepatological and gastroenterological service in Kazakhstan, is responsible for the formation and methodological support of this highly specialized field in oncology. Thus, the partnership with the Heidelberg University Clinic is an important strategic step and makes a significant contribution to the development of the scientific and educational potential of doctors and specialists of the NNOC.
