A Familiarization Medical Infotour for Specialists from CIS Countries Held in Astana
From June 17 to 20, 2025, Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana, hosted a familiarization tour for healthcare specialists from CIS countries.
The event was organized by “Astana Tourism” Center for Tourism Development LLP — a subordinate organization of the Akimat of Astana, responsible for enhancing the city’s tourism potential, including the promotion of medical tourism.
The infotour was part of systematic efforts to promote Astana as a medical tourism hub of Central Asia.
The delegation included doctors, medical agents, and representatives of medical associations from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the tour, participants visited leading medical institutions in the capital, familiarized themselves with their infrastructure, technologies, and conditions for providing healthcare services to international patients. Representatives of the clinics organized guided tours, delivered presentations, and answered questions from potential partners. Special attention was given to service quality, medical equipment, and the approach to working with international patients. Participants highly praised the level of medical development in Astana and expressed interest in further cooperation. The infotour became an important step toward strengthening professional ties, building trust with international partners, and increasing the export potential of Kazakhstan’s healthcare sector.
