of treating such formidable diseases as aneurysms and arteriovenous
malformations of the vessels of the brain and spinal cord, stenosis and occlusion
of the vessels of the brain, arteriovenous fistulas of the brain have been introduced into the clinical practice of neurosurgery in our country.
Makhambetov E.T. also introduced into the clinical practice of our
methods of surgical treatment of hemifacial spasm and
facial pain in trigeminal and pharyngeal neuralgia,
E.T. Makhambetov is the author of more than 70 publications, including in
international peer-reviewed journals. He is the author of 4 patents for inventions and 3
monographs.
He has interned in many leading foreign clinics. He is an active
practicing neurosurgeon. He is engaged in scientific and pedagogical
activities. He transfers his experience and knowledge to the younger generations
of neurosurgeons. He is engaged in social work. He is the Executive
Secretary of the Journal of Neurosurgery and Neurology of Kazakhstan and Chairman
of the Vascular Neurosurgery Section of the Kazakh Association
of Neurosurgeons.
